2023 Summer Internship Program at San Francisco Planning Department

This coming summer, we will have 12 paid ($31.69 per hour) intern positions.  The 40 hours per week, 12-week program starts on Monday, June 5, and ends on Friday, August 25.

If selected, the intern will be paired up with a Senior Planner / Supervisor to work on one of the below projects:

  1. SF Citywide Cultural Resources Survey (two positions)
  2. Preservation Equity (Mills Act and Landmark Designation) Audit
  3. Historic Resource Findings Audit
  4. Sunset District Community Development
  5. Equity Library: Tools and Resources for Staff Development
  6. Environmental Monitoring
  7. SF Young Planners Program
  8. Housing Element Implementation and Rezoning
  9. Shared Spaces Equity Projects
  10. Storytelling – Area Plan Capital Projects
  11. Outreach for Transportation Policy and Planning Projects
