Academic Support Programs: Virtual Workshops, Tutoring, Coaching
We wanted to reach out to let you all know about upcoming Study Skills Workshops that our Academic Success Coaches are hosting. All workshops are open to all students and available through Zoom this quarter. These quarterly workshops provide strategies, resources, and tips for students focusing on four main topics:
Staying Motivated and Successful Time Management
Study Smart: Effective Study Strategies for Online Learning Environments
Self-Care and Building Community in an Online Environment
Finals Exam Prep and Test Anxiety
Our Study Skills website includes more specifics about each workshop including dates, descriptions, and how to register. Students can register by filling out a Google Form that is linked on the website. I have also attached a flyer to this email. Please feel free to share these upcoming workshops with any students that you work with!
Additionally, we wanted to let you all know more about the programs that are available for students within Academic Support Programs! CLUE and Academic Success Coaching are both currently available virtually for students!
CLUE drop-in tutoring is open from 7 pm- 11 pm on Sunday through Thursday. Our tutors are ready and eager to support students virtually! Students can bring any question they might have. Even if tutors haven’t taken those specific classes, they can try to work it out together with the student. Discussion sessions are also available, and more information can be found on the CLUE website. Exam reviews will be coming soon for Math, Chemistry, and Physics and more information will be posted on the website!
Along with tutors, our coaches are also excited to support students in any way they can! Success Coaches are peers who are available to meet with students one on one to discuss strategies including but not limited to time management, goal setting, motivation, studying, connecting to campus resources, or any topic area that a student is experiencing within their educational journey. Students can learn more about Academic Success Coaching and schedule an appointment on our website.
If students have questions, please feel free to let them know that they can reach out!
