Activating Place Dance 345/545
This experiential course (one day in a classroom, one day in sites or in dance studio) looks at the ways and reasons people make live dance performances in spaces other than theaters. We will use Place as the center of our investigation. We will dissect significant works to learn how they were made, while grappling with the myriad reason people choose to perform work outside of traditional, formal performance spaces. No dance experience required.
