Fountain Scholar Program
The CELA Fountain Scholar Program is an initiative to help Black and Indigenous students of color to advance their landscape architecture education.Award: One outstanding student from each accredited landscape architecture program from The CELA member institution will hold the distinction of being a CELA Fountain Scholar. From this community, one national award winner will be chosen by jury to receive a US$2,000.00 scholarship.
Eligible Applicants:

  • Student from accredited landscape architecture program from The CELA member institution;
  • In their final two years of undergraduate study or pursuing a graduate degree in landscape architecture;
  • Has exceptional design skills; and
  • Uses their skills and ideas to influence, communicate, lead and advance design solutions for contemporary issues in a manner aligned with the original goals of Dr. Charles Fountain.

Bob Cardoza CLASS Fund Research Grant
Apply for research funding from The Bob Cardoza CLASS Fund Research Grant, named after Robert “Bob” Cardoza, a member committed to the profession of landscape architecture, who passed away July 18, 2020.
This biannual award supports a research project related to landscape architecture, horticulture or landscape contracting.
Award: A grant worth approximately US$25,000.
Eligible Applicants: Faculty members from The CELA member institutions in good standing
