Climate Dialogue 2020 Event – Climate Justice

UW Bothell will be hosting their 3rd annual Climate Dialogue Event online. This event will take place Wednesday (October 21st) from 1:30 pm to 3:30pm. This will be through zoom and registration is required to access the zoom link. You can register on the event page. Not only will the tri-campuses participate, but universities from Washington and Oregon will also be participating.

Climate Dialog is an opportunity for students, staff, and faculty from around the region to engage in dialog about living in an age of climate consequences. This years’ Climate Dialog theme is Climate Justice, which involves proper planning and discussion about how vulnerable communities are most affected by climate change. In order to become more climate just, we need to better understand our impact and provide resiliency resources in these communities as well as opening discussions about how climate impact can be mitigated. We will have three experts speak on element of climate change that will affect our region, and then breakout to discussions about these concerns, and ways individuals and groups can work together to find solutions and ways to mitigate damage.
