Dept of Architecture Job Opening: GRAPHICS/ARCHIVE/WEB HOURLY STUDENT ASSISTANT

The Department of Architecture has a job opening for a GRAPHICS/ARCHIVE/WEB Hourly Student Assistant. The initial appointment starts immediately with a preferred commitment through summer quarter 2023.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, organize, edit, and curate student work for departmental archive, website display, and recruitment materials
  • Post student work on department website
  • Make frequent content edits to Architecture web site as needed
  • Assist in creation of materials for department events and outreach/recruitment with direction from department staff
  • Occasionally assist Architecture office staff with questions from prospective students and others in person and over the phone

Skills required:

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and graphic design
  • At least 6 months experience using WordPress
  • Demonstrated skill in writing web/news content
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to establish/maintain a consistent weekly schedule

Position Details:

  • Salary: $20/hour
  • Time commitment approximately 10 hours/week
  • Location: Architecture Office, Gould Hall 208
  • Open to Architecture graduate students only
  • Work study is preferred but not required (academic year only)
