This is an opportunity to improve how workforce facilities (the places where people report to work) are planned and managed while remedying systemic asset problems and integrating planning drivers such as climate change, equity, environmental health, and risk / resilience. Specific knowledge of architecture is not required.

Example tasks may include:

  • Synthesize data from interdisciplinary sources including human resources, operations, transportation, and building asset management to create multi-media communication materials and outreach products
  • Help develop a communication plan, an interactive workshop series, and create consistent messaging around strategic planning priorities
  • Perform research related to innovative workforce facility typologies, the emerging world of hybrid work, and relevant case studies of  peer utility and city departments
  • Design and prepare a user friendly Asset Catalogue of Workforce Facility Locations and building assets
