With the aim of advancing community, civic, or social good by implementing art-based processes and/or projects that lead to positive change in the built environment of a local community, the 2021 Pérez Prize in Public Art & Civic Design will recognize a single arts administrator with a track record of exemplary work in producing.

Americans for the Arts will award the recipient of the 2021 Pérez Prize in Public Art & Civic Design with a grant package worth upwards of $50,000.

Eligibility: Eligibility criteria includes:

  • The arts administrator has a track record of 10 or more years of consistent work at the intersection of public art and civic design.
  • The arts administrator is actively doing creative work relevant to the intent of the Pérez Prize.
  • The Pérez Prize is intended to support an individual arts administrator. The arts administrator may lead or be part of a company or organization, but the recipient is the individual arts administrator, and the recognition is for the achievement and contributions of that individual.
  • The arts administrator is a U.S. citizen or resident and is at least 30 years old.
