Reader/Grader job opening, Spring Qtr 2023
Tasks: Evaluate and assign initial grades for three class assignments. Assignment 1 requires the production of a 10-minute movie by teams of 3 or 4 students that provides a cogent review of the contexts for an assigned site. It is due April 27. Assignment 2 requires that each individual student develop a set of diagrams that describe contextual patterns and propose site designs that could work with these patterns. It is due May 11. Assignment 3 requires that each individual student develop a set of diagrams that describe potential phasing of their project. It is due June 1. There is a fourth assignment for this class, written questions about the readings, which the instructor will review.
Skills: Strong diagramming skills, fluency with analysis of contexts, organizational skills and timeliness. Prior experience with grading would be desirable.
The instructor would like to meet with the selected Reader/Grader prior to the beginning of the term to discuss and refine the assignments.
$20/hour
Work study preferred but not required
Expected time commitment: 10 hours/week (average)
