We have an excellent opportunity for an hourly student assistant in the Department of Architecture. Please see the job description and details below:
The Department of Architecture has a job opening for a GRAPHICS/ARCHIVE/WEB STUDENT ASSISTANT. The initial appointment starts immediately, with a preferred commitment through summer quarter 2024.
Responsibilities include:
- Collect, organize, edit and curate student work for departmental archive, website display, and recruitment materials
- Post student work on department website
- Make frequent content edits to Architecture web site as needed
- Assist in creation of materials for department events and outreach/recruitment with direction from department staff
- Occasionally assist Architecture office staff with questions from prospective students and others in person and over the phone
Skills required:
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and graphic design
- Experience using WordPress
- Experience in creative writing
- Strong organizational skills and ability to establish/maintain a consistent weekly schedule
Position Details:
- Salary: $22/hour
- Time commitment approximately 10 hours/week
- Location: Architecture Office, Gould Hall 208 (The majority of the work is expected to be conducted in the office.)
- Open to graduate students only
- Work study is preferred but not required (academic year only)
