The Office of Planning and Community Development (OPCD) is seeking a college student, either an undergraduate or graduate student, to support our Downtown subarea planning effort.

Our designated Urban Centers – Downtown, Uptown, South Lake Union, Capitol Hill/First Hill, University District, and Northgate – are home to a significant share of Seattle’s workers and residents. These centers will continue to play a critical role in accommodating growth over the next 20 years. We are beginning the process of planning for each of our centers toward becoming more equitable, vital, and resilient places in the future.

This internship is an opportunity to help with the Downtown subarea planning effort. Downtown includes Chinatown, Japantown, Little Saigon, Belltown, Pioneer Square and the Downtown core. The intern would contribute to OPCD’s work, specifically to supplement our capacity to engage with BIPOC and other communities that have historically been underrepresented to help us identify key issues and planning needs.

More information on the position and how to apply can be found here: Downtown Subarea Plan Intern | Job Details tab | Career Pages (governmentjobs.com)
