Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 3 in our Local Programs in North Central Region. WSDOT’s Local Programs’ mission is to assist communities in the successful delivery of transportation projects by providing educational, technical, and financial support to Local Agencies (cities, counties, and other transportation partners such as tribal governments, ports, and transit agencies). Under the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Federal-Aid Stewardship Agreement with WSDOT, Local Programs serves as the steward of the FHWA funding that goes to public agencies throughout the state. This position directly supports this mission by providing education, direction, and guidance to Local Agencies, helping them navigate the project delivery and contract administration processes while meeting many Federal and State requirements and ultimately delivering transportation projects that improve the communities they serve.
