CBE Onboarding

Welcome from the Dean

Headshot of Dean Renee ChengAt CBE, we pride ourselves on a healthy collaborative culture based on values we develop together.  However, when new people join our community we are not looking for culture “fit” we are hoping for “culture add”.  We know that every person joining us, even if they have had CBE or UW experiences in the past, are bringing their ideas and a rich array of lived experiences that inform their points of view.  We hope that as you look through the resources on these pages to better understand how we do things in our college you remain curious –if you learn something about the college that does not make sense or seems less effective than alternatives you know about, please feel free to ask.  Sometimes there are well-considered reasons, some practices are ripe for questioning.  We welcome you and your curiosity to our college!
