Hackathon co-supported by Urban Design and Planning featured in GeekWire

Urban Design and Planing Chair Branden Born and UDP Associate Professor Dan Abramson participated in an “Urban Resilience Hackathon” facilitated by the non-profit organization, DemocracyLab, with additional support from the National Science Foundation’s LEAP-HI project and the Department of Urban Design and Planning. Change Stories project residential knowledge exchange 4-day event in Bogotá, Colombia

Research Associate Professor Helen Pineo in the Department of Urban Design and Planning, Postdoctoral Scholar Magdalena Haakenstad, and Office of Research Administrative Specialist and Master of Public Health candidate Sarah Randall participated in a residential knowledge exchange event in Bogotá, Colombia for the Change Stories project. EarthLab Awards Innovation Grants to Two Projects with CBE Researchers

EarthLab announced their Innovation Grants for 2024-25 for projects focused on Climate and Social Justice. The awardees were announced in March 2024, and 2 of the 5 selected projects include CBE researchers, including Associate Landscape Architecture Professor Catherine De Almeida, Associate Architecture Professor Gundula Proksch, and Landscape Architecture Lecturer Rebecca Bachman.

Join the College of Built Environments for our inaugural Community of Practice Climate Solutions Symposium, where students, faculty, and other experts will engage in exciting discussions about climate research, teaching, and learning initiatives currently underway. Please register in advance.
