SUMMER 2025 JOB OPPORTUNITY: Web design/ graphics/ social media

The Circular City and Living Systems Lab is looking for an hourly student assistant with a focus on WEB DESIGN/ GRAPHICS/ SOCIAL MEDIA. The student assistant will maintain our websites and support the creation of graphic material. 

The appointment starts as soon as the position is filled. Arrangements with 20-40 hours per week are possible. Candidates with work study are preferred. The position might be continued through the AY 2025/26.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance of the lab’s website https://ccls.be.uw.edu/
  • Update of two other project websites
  • Maintain news blogs, Instagram pages, etc.
  • Post lab and project news on CBE websites
  • Create presentations in PowerPoint or InDesign
  • Create diagrams under the supervision of researchers

Skills required:

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and graphic design
  • Experience using WordPress
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to establish and maintain a consistent workflow and schedule
  • Excellent graphic, written, and oral communication skills

Skills desired (but not required):

  • Familiarity with GIS software (ArcGIS or QGIS)
  • Experience and skills in creative or academic writing

Position Details:

  • Salary: $24/hour
  • 20-40 hours per week possible
  • Location: Remote work, regular (in person) meetings with Professor
  • Work-study is preferred but not required
