The Department of Architecture has several job openings for hourly STUDENT ASSISTANTS to support ARCH 200 in Autumn Quarter 2025
The ARCH 200 lecture is held each Tuesday from 4:00–4:50 PM, with five studio lab sections offered on Tuesday/Thursday.
Responsibilities include:
• Assisting faculty in studio sessions (set-up, clean-up, and providing one-on-one student support)
• Helping students with basic drawing, modeling, and digital tools introduced in ARCH 200
• Supporting Canvas course management, including uploading resources and announcements
• Preparing studio materials (cutting, organizing, distributing supplies)
• Assisting with pin-ups, reviews, and lecture coordination
• Maintaining an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Minimum Qualifications:
• Current UW student (undergraduate or graduate)
• Strong interest in architecture, design, and studio culture
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty and peers
Desired Qualifications:
• Prior ARCH 200 (or equivalent foundation studio) experience
Position Details:
• Salary: $23.10/hour
• Time commitment: approximately 12–15 hours/week
• Work study is preferred but not required
