The COMTO WA Workforce Development Serves Everyone (WDSE – pronounced “woods”) Committee will host its first WDSE Symposium from 10am-2pm.

The WDSE Symposium (free with Registration on Eventbrite) aims to give industry tools, information, and leadership perspectives on how organizations and individuals can tackle challenges and stay competitive within our transportation industry workforce.

Executive Transportation Leadership Panel members from Sound Transit, Community Transit, KC Metro and Espousal Strategies Inc. will review workforce needs and pressing agency issues and how to address them

Workforce Development Policy Panel from the Port of Seattle, KC Metro and Sea-King Workforce Development Council, Parametrix and Furtado will discuss obstacles to meeting workforce demands

Addressing Workforce Needs Full Lifecycle Workshop will be held by industry professionals from Zann, Inc. and Strategic Business Services to better understand job market demands at various career phases

Industry subject matter experts from Farwest Steel and the TRAC program along with the Laborers union will be present to discuss Leveraging Untapped Potential in our workforce
