Email Marketing
MarCom develops and distributes strategic email communications for CBE audiences, including event promotion and recurring College communications.

To Get Started
Provide the goal and intended audience, key dates, essential content, registration or destination links, available images or graphics and required approver(s).
Event Planning & Registration
MarCom supports communications planning, promotion and registration for CBE events. Signature events may receive broader integrated campaign support and are identified through annual planning whenever possible.
For event promotion, submit one event request. MarCom will coordinate the appropriate email, social media, registration and design support based on the event, timeline and available support.

Registration Support
To Get Started
Provide the event date, time and location; intended audience; registration needs and deadlines; brief event description; key speakers or participants; and required approver(s).
Executive Communications
MarCom supports communications from the Dean and College leadership for moments that require a leadership perspective, broad audience reach or strategic College-level messaging. Executive communications are developed in coordination with College leadership and relevant partners.
What’s Included
Support may include message strategy, writing and editing, audience recommendations, coordination and distribution.

To Get Started
Leadership communications are coordinated directly with the Dean, College leadership and relevant partners. Early notice of important dates, audience needs and emerging communications issues is helpful whenever possible.
Graphic Design
MarCom provides brand-aligned design support ranging from self-service templates to selected custom projects. When an existing template meets the need, partners are encouraged to start there.
What’s Included
Support may include template customization, layout, image selection, brand and accessibility review, and final digital or print-ready files. Complex projects may be referred to UW Creative Communications.

Provide the content and messaging, intended audience and use, desired completion date, available images or graphics, size or format requirements and required approver(s).
Brand & Design Toolkit
Before requesting custom design, check the Brand & Design Toolkit for CBE Canva templates, logos, brand guidance and other self-service resources.
Marketing Campaigns
Integrated marketing campaigns coordinate multiple communications channels around a shared goal, audience or initiative. Whenever possible, campaigns are identified through annual planning so MarCom can align strategy, messaging, timing and support.
What’s Included
Campaign support may include strategic planning, content creation, email, web, social media, design, media outreach and performance reporting.

Integrated Marketing Campaign · 10–12 weeks

MarCom supports strategic photography and video for storytelling, recruitment, campaigns and other high-priority communications needs. Opportunities are identified through annual planning whenever possible.

What Happens After You Submit a Request
- We review your request
Within 3 business days, MarCom will confirm we understand what you need, the timeline and who needs to be involved. - We share the plan
MarCom will share the key deliverables, dates and review points so you know what to expect and when. Larger projects may begin with a kickoff meeting, while straightforward requests may move directly into production. - You review the work, as needed
If your review or approval is needed, MarCom will send the work to the designated reviewer at the agreed-upon points for feedback before it is published or finalized. - We publish or deliver the final work
When the work is complete, MarCom will send you the final links, files or access information.
