The Department of Architecture is hiring a TA this winter quarter for ARCH 524: Design Technology V.
In addition to leading two 50-minute lab sessions every week (Gould 007), assisting with all regular sessions (Gould 110), and holding office hours, the TA will contribute to course grading and serve as the primary point of contact for students in the class.
The regular class hours are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:20 am. In regular course sessions, the TA’s role is to help the instructor. The lab sessions are scheduled on Th between 4:00-4:50 (Section A) and 5:00-5:50 (Section B). In lab sessions, the TA will hold instructions in the computer lab (Gould 007) and recap the hands-on exercises introduced during the regular sessions. Additionally, TA office hours will be announced.

Required qualifications: a strong background in building performance simulation (to have taken Arch 524 successfully in previous years), excellent verbal communication skills, and the ability to explain complex technical topics to diverse student groups.
Desired qualifications: further experience with simulation tools in other classes and/or in a professional setting.
Salary is based on the UW TA Salary Schedule. Position includes tuition waiver and GAIP coverage.
