The Department of Architecture has a job opening for an HOURLY STUDENT ASSISTANT in Spring Quarter 2024: ARCH 498I “Computers in Architecture”

Tuesday/Thursday @ 11:30 AM-12:50 PM in GLD 137

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist students with learning new software (Rhino, Adobe Suite, rendering software, post-processing, etc.) and 3D printing
  • Assist students outside of class to answer their class-related questions
  • Assist with grading course assignments
  • Assist with course-related materials preparation
  • Assist with managing the class while the instructor is giving a lecture

Skills required:

  • Knowledgeable with Architectural modeling and representation tools and software such as Rhino modeling, rendering software (Rhino, Lumion, Enscape, etc.), post-processing software, Adobe Suite, etc.
  • Familiar with 3D printing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be reliable, collaborative, and work well with a team
  • Comfortable with grading

Position Details:

  • Salary: $21/hour
  • Time commitment approximately 10 hours/week
  • Work-study is preferred but not required
