WA-SEN Program
Registration is open for the 2023 WA-SEN Virtual Summit taking place on November 4th. The event is FREE and open to ALL current and aspiring college students across Washington! Fabulous speakers and support throughout the day as we come together to celebrate students. This year will include a townhall-style panel of legislators.
This free virtual interactive training for college students is for every level of comfort with advocacy work. If you think you’re a newbie, you are a perfect future WA-SEN member! If you think you are a legislative expert, you’re a perfect future WA-SEN member!
Founded and organized in 2017, we use our stories and amplify the student voice to educate legislators about the importance of supporting higher education for all Washingtonians. We focus on closing the racial, gender, and income opportunity gap. We will provide practical interactive training that you can take to use in Olympia (another free event) during the 2024 legislative session.
Care packages! All participants will receive individual care packages delivered to your door* (we’ll ask for a shipping address when you register). There will also be a rich conversation, and lunch will be provided!
This training will be a refresher for those who have attended WA-SEN events before, but we’ll dig deeper into applying what you learned, and offer new training toward practical application meetings with legislators and policymakers.
